Authors, Coaches and Speakers…Oh, My!

Today is the 12th anniversary of my business, Virtual Business Marketing. What a ride it has been. When I first started my business back on January 30, 2003, my very first client was a local marketing consultant. She taught me a lot about marketing and how to support clients with their marketing needs. At the time, I offered quite a variety of services, but then honed down my HUGE list of everything down to the services I offer today.

It wasn’t long after obtaining my first client that I began in-person social networking. I loved it and hated it at the same time. I felt like a fish out of water, but then soon realized it was fun! I relaxed and began discovering more about the women I really wanted to work with. I found that I really resonated with the coaching industry (business and life coaching, that is). I started focusing my services on life coaches. Many of my clients were also branching out into becoming authors and speakers, too. Supporting authors, coaches and speakers became my trifecta niche and I’ve loved it ever since.

I’ve worked with clients in a variety of other industries, too, and have performed well, but I think when you’re passionate about what you do and what your clients do, it doesn’t feel like work.

I’m proud to have worked with some top name coaches and internet marketers. I’ve learned a lot along the way and look forward to many more years in business.

Recently, I’ve decided to go back to school to get a degree in Career and Technical Studies (it’s an odd name for the fancier title of Instructional Design, but it basically means that I’ll have a degree in putting together curriculum and programs together). Many of my clients want to turn their knowledge into a program and teach it online. So, with my marketing background, my education background and knowledge of my client’s specific goals, I’m able to help them put together their programs and sell online seats as well as in-person events now. After I finish my degree, I’ll have the additional expertise to help my clients even more!

So, if you know of any authors, coaches and speakers who need help with their online business and marketing efforts, I’m happy to help!

With gratitude,
Michelle Ulrich

How To Attract Large Audiences Do you ever wonder how people attract large audiences to their teleseminars and webinars? What’s the trick to getting a lot of people to show up? First, you have to have some basic components setup. For instance, are your topics in demand? Is everyone talking about your subject matter andContinue Reading

When you ask for it, sometimes you get it…   I’m not certain that a spiritual being exists nor am I certain it does not. I just know that sometimes when I say I put desires ‘out to the universe’, I sometimes get what I asked for. Sometimes, I don’t realize I asked for somethingContinue Reading

January 1st seems to always conjur up the images of new beginnings, a fresh start, a clean slate and more for me. I reflect upon the past year and wonder how it all passed me by so fast. This year, like all years in the past, I have decided NOT to make a New Year’sContinue Reading

Klout…Do I Care?

Klout…Do I Care?

Klout…Do I Care? Apparently, I do care that Klout has recently revamped the way they rank profiles. I went from a healthy 72 down to a score of 57. What changed? I have no idea and neither do any of my colleagues. Many of their rankings fell as drastically as mine and no one atContinue Reading

Gratitude “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today,Continue Reading
